We’ve been decorating the County City Building at 227 W. Jefferson Blvd. in downtown South Bend since 2018. This year we added new ornaments to our Diversity & Inclusion Holiday Tree.

The Northern Indiana Atheists “Diversity and Inclusion Holiday Tree” acknowledges and celebrates over a dozen religions and faith groups (both theistic and non-theistic), as well as the entire LGBTQIA spectrum, and includes other messages of inspiration and inclusion.

After hearing about the urgent need in Fulton County from our members, NIA donated to Food Finders Food Bank and supplied hundreds of meals to citizens of Fulton County.

As our friends, family, and neighbors are struggling with hunger during this pandemic, organizations like the Food Bank of Northern Indiana need our donations now more than ever. And once again, our members and allies in the community stepped up during this overwhelming time of need.

We put the call out on our Facebook page for our members and community to help us protect the most vulnerable among us. Our goal was to produce hand sanitizer and pass it out at local homeless shelters and organizations that help the homeless. We wanted to keep our friends and community safe by stopping the spread of COVID-19 in any way we could.

The NIA board committed to matching the first $500 in donations from our community. And it took only six hours for our members and friends to help us meet the matching goal! NIA wants to thank the donors for their quick and generous contributions. You’ve shown again and again that atheists and our allies are some of the most compassionate people.

For several years, we've run a successful Adopt-A-Family program for the holidays. For the second year in a row, Northern Indiana Atheists teamed up with Michiana Skeptics to build on that success.

The Satanic Temple Indiana Chapter recently completed their "Menstruatin’ With Satan" donation drive event which ran from August 5th through October 20th. Northern Indiana Atheists was proud to participate.

Northern Indiana Atheists (NIA) concluded our Whole Woman's Health (WWH) South Bend Clinic Fundraiser with a whole lot more than the $150 in donations we were hoping for.

Our Adopt-A-Highway is completely membership-ran. The committee is headed by a member and they take care of all the details. We have the best members!

Shepherd’s Cove Clothing Pantry in Elkhart, Indiana, helps around 400 families per month, giving away around $650,000 worth of merchandise per year.

Northern Indiana Atheists is having a clothing drive to help the homeless and needy in our community. Bring your new or gently used clothing items to any of our social events to add to the donation box. All clothing donated will be given out free to people in need.
